Your horse’s welfare is Ellis’ main priority, striving to work in a calm, kind, and relaxed manner. Sedation is rarely needed and it is preferable, unless necessary, to use horsemanship skills to gain trust to complete the work.
Routine Dentistry
Regular dental maintenance is an essential component of your horse, pony, or donkey’s wellbeing. Here’s why it’s crucial:
- Prevents discomfort: By addressing issues early, we spare equines unnecessary pain.
- Early disease detection: Catching problems in their infancy prevents escalation.
- Maximum eating efficiency: Proper dental care allows the horse to chew its food efficiently for digestion.
- Optimised performance: Comfortable mouths lead to better communication and performance.
- Long-term dental health: Investing in regular maintenance now helps prevent dental disease in the later years.
Every equine whether ridden or not should have a routine dental check at least once a year to ensure lifelong welfare.
